Name: Shawn Oliver
Title: Recruiting Consultant, Office of Human Resources
Notre Dame career path: I joined the University in 2008, starting as a temporary employee for the Office of Human Resources. When a position opened up in the AskHR call center I applied and was hired. My next position was as recruiting coordinator where I was responsible for the pre-employment criminal background checks and drug testing as well as support for our recruiters. After 4 years as a coordinator, I was thrilled to become a consultant with the recruiting team. I currently support Auxiliary Operations, Campus Services, Hesburgh Library, The College of Arts and Letters, College of Engineering, TRiO programs, and OPAC.
Where is your favorite spot on campus and why? I have many spots I love to visit or just walk and soak in the beauty. However, my favorite is the Grotto. I choose the Grotto because after I visit I feel more grounded and at peace. The only other place I feel like this is on the Mississippi River when I go home to Minnesota.
