Name: Heather Christensen
Title: Senior Programs and Events Coordinator for International Student and Scholar Affairs.
Notre Dame career path: I joined International Student and Scholar Affairs (ISSA) as an administrative assistant in 2011. In 2014, I was promoted to senior admin and then in 2016 became programs & events coordinator.
Why do you like working at Notre Dame?: I organize and manage events for international students, scholars, spouses, and community members for the purpose of engaging and integrating internationals at ND to add value and enrich their ND experience. I am a relationship builder, so I enjoy meeting and interacting with international students and getting to know them.
I appreciate that ND offers many learning opportunities for staff on campus so I can grow my skills and knowledge base. And it is rewarding for me to share my talents on two Employee Resource Committees: the NDSID Events Committee and the Thrive! Communications Committee.
