- 11:30 - 12: Lunch is served! (Pizza and Salad)
- 12 - 1: Panel Discussion
We all deserve to feel seen, heard, and supported at work, and sometimes that means advocating for ourselves. Self-advocacy is the act of communicating your needs and rights to ensure you have the support and environment necessary to perform your job. The employee resource groups Spectrum and ProfouND are coming together to host a panel discussion about what that really looks like in practice at Notre Dame.
This event is for any faculty or staff member who’s ever wondered: How do I ask for what I need? What do I say when a situation feels off? What support is actually available to me? Whether you’re navigating the workplace with a marginalized identity or simply seeking practical strategies to strengthen your voice in professional spaces, this discussion will provide clear, actionable information.
Our panelists bring lived experience and professional insight from across the university. Together, we will discuss how to manage difficult professional interactions, establish personal boundaries, and move through hierarchical spaces without losing yourself in the process.
Co-presented by Spectrum and ProfouND.
