Research Uncorked: "Visualizing the Enemy: Microbial Imaging at ND"

-

Location: via Zoom

Good news: The next Research Uncorked is a (virtual) field trip!

February Speakers
Sarah Chapman, Sara Cole, Trung Nguyen, and Tatyana Orlova –
Notre Dame Integrated Imaging Facility

We hope you and yours have been well since the last Research Uncorked, which we held virtually in October. We’ll be hosting the February event online, as well. That said, Ironhand Wine Bar, our normal home for the series, has reopened for dine-in service while also still offering to-go orders.

As for this month’s Research Uncorked, please join us next Tuesday, February 23, at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom, when we will welcome four members of the Notre Dame Integrated Imaging Facility for a guided tour that will introduce both the facility’s high-powered equipment and some of the exciting ways Notre Dame researchers are using it to study bacteria and other microorganisms.

“Visualizing the Enemy: Microbial Imaging at ND” will feature presentations by:

  • Sarah Chapman, assistant director of the Notre Dame Integrated Imaging Facility,
  • Sara Cole, optical microscopy program director,
  • Tatyana Orlova, electron microscopy specialist,
  • and Trung Nguyen, postdoctoral fellow in chemistry and biochemistry.

You can register for the Zoom here.
