Getting to Yes: Powerful Strategies for Negotiating and Influence

-

Location: McKenna Hall

At Notre Dame, negotiation is needed in a variety of circumstances: from effective communication with colleagues to negotiating a salary or contract.  Feedback from previous ND Thrive! events showed that many of us want to become better negotiators. The professional development committee for Thrive! has invited Dr. Susan G. Williams to lead a workshop on negotiating and influencing that you won't want to miss. Dr. Williams is Professor Emerita of Management at Belmont University’s Jack C. Massey Graduate School of Business.  Her work focuses on negotiation, business narrative, continuous improvement, and strategic thinking.  Dr. Williams has consulted on these topics with a variety of institutions and organizations, including Disney, Education Networks of America, Caterpillar, The United Methodist Church, Cracker Barrel, Vanderbilt University, and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

Join us for this workshop to learn how to be a better negotiator by creating options that satisfy both parties, focusing on interests, and separating people from the problem. Registration available in Endeavor. Lunch is included.
