As part of the THRIVE! Champions for Change year, the Professional Development and Networking (PD&N) committee presents a new 3-part series to help you kick off the new year in style! Attend one, two, or all three events on Developing your Professional Development Plan (PDP). The PDP is your one-page calling card to focus your networking discussions and realize your career opportunities.

Heather Christophersen, Associate Vice President for Advancement Services, will introduce the PDP in the first session and share how her career has been helped with this tool. This is an event not to be missed!

The event will be held on February 25th from 12-1 PM at the Stayer Center for Executive Education in the Commons B room (first floor of Stayer).

About Heather Christopherson
In her current University role, Heather leads all information, talent management, and operational units of Development, and she has rolled out the PDP for all staff of University Relations. Previously, Heather served as the director of maintenance for Notre Dame, where she oversaw the maintenance operations of 190 campus buildings, comprising just over eleven million gross square feet and a replacement value of $4.8 billion. She held responsibility for the daily repair and maintenance operations as well as the renewal and reinvestment planning activities for campus facilities. 

Heather previously held several roles at Notre Dame including director of service programs in the Notre Dame Alumni Association, director of sustainability and director of strategic planning, where she led efforts to create and implement strategic plans across the university, including the University’s first carbon reduction plan. 

Heather graduated from Notre Dame in 1998 with a BS in chemical engineering and later earned her MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. Prior to returning to work at Notre Dame, Heather worked in the chemical industry for over 11 years, for both BP chemicals and later Elevance Renewable Sciences. She served in a variety of progressive roles in manufacturing, logistics, asset management and business operations. Heather and her husband, Chad, a fellow Notre Dame graduate, are the proud parents of two children, Quinn and Avery.
